About the Role

We’re looking for a Golang Engineer to join a fast-paced, cross-functional team focused on building scalable backend systems for a major U.S. retail client. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about clean code, performance optimization, and delivering production-ready APIs in cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and microservices using Go (Golang)
Build and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs that support internal tools and external applications
Optimize the performance and reliability of distributed systems handling high traffic
Integrate with third-party APIs, internal services, and various data sources
Write unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure code quality
Collaborate closely with DevOps, Product, and Frontend teams to deliver end-to-end features
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives

Required Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience with Golang in production
Experience building REST APIs and working with microservices architecture
Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
Strong understanding of concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization in Go
Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Git
Solid knowledge of software development principles and testing practices
Intermediate to Advanced English communication skills

Nice to Have

Experience with AWS, GCP, or another cloud provider
Knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, or infrastructure-as-code tools
Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems
Previous work on high-scale platforms or e-commerce systems
Exposure to gRPC, GraphQL, or event-driven architectures
