Role Overview:
We are looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer with 4+ years of proven experience to help build and optimize our MVP. The ideal candidate will focus on backend development as a top priority and work closely with our team to develop the core functionality, ensuring a scalable and efficient solution for initial launch and post-MVP enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize backend systems using Express.js, MongoDB, and AWS App Runner.
  • Support the Next.js front end where necessary, ensuring smooth integration.
  • Experience with Javascript/ Typescript
  • Build essential platform features, including:
    • A calendar system for company availability selection and interview scheduling.
    • Contract signing functionality for students and companies.
    • Admin dashboard for tracking interview schedules and contract status.
  • Implement and refine the student application process, company onboarding, and transaction workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize core functionality for the MVP, ensuring a solid foundation for future feature development.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize platform performance, improving efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide ongoing development and maintenance post-MVP to ensure platform stability and enhancements.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development.
  • Strong proficiency in Express.js, MongoDB, and API development.
  • Experience with 3rd party integrations
  • Experience with Next.js and front-end development.
  • Familiarity with AWS App Runner 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in building scalable applications.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining an MVP is a plus
