We are looking for a skilled Java Engineer to join a high-impact team working on modernizing and scaling backend systems for a leading U.S. retail client — Home Depot. You will be involved in the design, development, and optimization of APIs and microservices that power complex inventory, logistics, and e-commerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend services using Java
Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
Optimize performance and ensure the security and reliability of services
Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers
Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and team standups
Troubleshoot production issues and support deployment processes

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience working as a Java Developer
Strong understanding of Java 8+ (Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate)
Experience building RESTful APIs and working with microservices
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker
Familiarity with Agile development methodology
Good communication skills and experience working in distributed teams
English: Advanced (written and verbal)

Nice to Have

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
Knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration tools
Previous experience working on retail or e-commerce platforms
